Kojo Oppong Nkrumah sponsores breast cancer screening for women in Ofoase-Ayirebi Constituency

By: Jennifer Frimpong Wiredu As part of activities to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Member of Parliament for the Ofoase-Ayirebi Constituency, Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has organized a free health screening exercise for residents of the constituency. The initiative held at Ofoase in the Akyemansa District forms part of efforts to educate and sensitize the public on the importance of early detection and regular medical check-ups in the fight against breast cancer. The exercise brought together students, parents, teachers, and health professionals, all united under the common goal of promoting healthy living and preventive healthcare. Hundreds of residents took advantage of the exercise to undergo various medical examinations and receive health education on breast cancer and general wellbeing. Addressing participants, Mr Oppong Nkrumah encouraged his constituents to prioritize regular hospital visits rather than waiting to fall ill before seeking medical attention. He emphasized that preventive healthcare remains one of the most effective ways to protect lives and ensure the wellbeing of families. The MP also used the occasion to advise the youth to stay focused on their education and work diligently toward achieving their dreams. He assured them of his continued support for initiatives that promote development across the constituency. Some residents who benefited from the screening expressed their appreciation to the MP for his leadership and consistent concern for the welfare of the people. They described the exercise as timely and impactful, especially for those who rarely get access to routine medical checks. Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah reaffirmed his commitment to improving healthcare delivery and increasing awareness on preventable diseases across the Ofoase/Ayirebi Constituency. More Stories Here
