College GameDay personality Kirk Herbstreit must decide whether to prove the sincerity of his apology. It all started during Saturday’s segment when Herbstreit was unable to recognize the logo of the Samford Bulldogs. They are scheduled to play the Texas A&M Aggies on Nov 22 and the logo came up during a preview of the game. Herbstreit later took to X posting a clip of that incident along with the caption, “Was struggling with this logo on graphic last night… My bad @SamfordFootball 🤣 #abc #espn”. Well, the post got 1.1 million views and even reached Samford management. And they weren’t going to let things go easily. In a humorous challenge, they replied under the post, saying, “We accept your apology…… ONLY if you wear a Samford tie next Saturday, we’ll gladly send you one!👔”. But no response came from Herbstreit’s side. Samford, however, meant business. They made another post on X saying the offer still stands, seeing that he has not responded. The program is part of the Southern Conference and is currently having quite a disappointing season. They have managed to win only once in the past eight games. So, no one is expecting them to win against the Aggies, who are currently having one of the most dominating seasons in recent history. They are unbeaten thus far in the SEC. But putting that aside, it will be interesting to see if Herbstreit accepts Samford’s proposal. Though by the looks of it, a reply from his side isn’t coming.
