The clip was captioned, “Look at the scene outside Malleshwara Metro Station… done by Karnataka auto walas standing outside metro.” Filthy habits that must be called out and hefty fines imposed https://t.co/9YrBJ6gGU3 — Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw (@kiranshaw) November 7, 2025 Mazumdar-Shaw, who has been consistently vocal about civic issues in Bengaluru, including potholes and poor infrastructure, once again drew attention to the city’s lack of cleanliness and accountability. Earlier, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar hosted a dinner meeting in Bengaluru with Mazumdar-Shaw and TV Mohandas Pai. The meeting came days after both had publicly criticised the city’s crumbling infrastructure. The meeting between Shivakumar, Pai, and Shaw came amid rising public concern over Bengaluru’s deteriorating infrastructure. Both corporate leaders had earlier voiced frustration about poor civic conditions and urged the government to take corrective measures. According to officials, the government assured the technocrats that steps are being taken to address key challenges such as potholes, delayed development works, and inefficient coordination among municipal agencies. The meeting signaled a potential easing of tensions between the corporate community and the administration after weeks of strain. According to reports, business leaders conveyed their readiness to back the government’s initiatives, provided that tangible improvements are seen on the ground.
