NORMAN — Oklahoma’s offensive line situation for its game against Auburn on Saturday now doesn’t look as precarious as originally perceived.
Starting center Jake Maikkula, right guard Febechi Nwaiwu and left tackle Michael Fasusi were all upgraded to probable for the Auburn game on the latest Southeastern Conference availability report released Thursday night.
The three linemen were all previously listed as questionable on the initial report posted Wednesday.
Receiver Zion Kearney has also been updated from questionable to probable on the Thursday report. Backup center Owen Hollenbeck has been removed from the report so he’s in the clear.
Starting defensive end Marvin Jones Jr. and backup offensive tackle Isaiah Dent remain questionable. OU will hope to get Jones cleared since it will already be missing R Mason Thomas (targeting suspension) for the first half versus Auburn.
The availability report will be updated again Friday night and for a final time shortly before the Sooners and Tigers kick off at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
