Are you curious to know more about Kelowna’s digital services? The City of Kelowna joins Media Literacy Week, running from Oct. 27 to Nov. 1, a national program that encourages Canadians of all ages to become informed and engaged digital citizens. Throughout the week, the city will share resources and tips on social media, identifying misinformation and digital tools to stay safe online. As part of this initiative, the city is launching an email newsletter called “Technology & Digital Solutions” designed to connect people with updates on the city’s changing digital landscape. This digital publication is tailored for those who want to stay informed about the city’s digital services, innovation projects, and opportunities to participate in user testing and feedback. Andreas Boehm, Intelligent Cities Manager, says, “This newsletter is a way to share what’s happening behind the scenes and invite the community to help shape the future of digital services in Kelowna.” Residents can receive the first newsletter of “Technology and Digital Solutions” directly in their inbox in early November by signing up now at kelowna.ca/notifications and to learn more about Media Literacy Week, MediaSmarts and digital confidence, visit kelowna.ca/intelligentcity.
