Kelly Clarkson just gave one of her fans the surprise of a lifetime! During a taping of The Kelly Clarkson Show on Wednesday (Nov. 5), Clarkson was joined by influencer Emily Kaufman, AKA, the Travel Mom, as they discussed upcoming trends in travel — particularly when it comes to cruising. Kaufman shared that more people are taking cruise vacations than ever before and there’s so many new kinds of voyages, including expedition cruising. In fact, National Geographic has now partnered up with Lindblad Expeditions for journeys around the globe, including to the Galapagos Islands, a trip that combines both conservation and education. 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 After sharing information about the cruises, Clarkson asked the audience if anyone would be interested in taking a trip — and then revealed she would be giving away a vacation for two to the Galapagos. Of course, the crowd was ecstatic. In the end, an audience member named Ada was randomly selected to win the trip. But after revealing she had come to the show with both her brother and her best friend, Clarkson realized that Ada was going to have to make a tough choice. “Man, this is a Sophie’s Choice decision. This is gonna be rough,” Clarkson joked about Ada having to selected who to bring with her on the trip. Clarkson quickly decided that she wasn’t going to force Ada to make a decision and offered up to personally pay for Ada to bring an extra person on the trip. “Okay, here’s what I’m going to do for you personally, ’cause I’m feeling bad about the situation. It’s for two, okay? But I’m gonna pay for the third ’cause I feel really bad. I’m gonna pitch in,” Clarkson revealed. Ada and her guests were completely thrilled and thanked Clarkson profusely, making it clear that they were all very deserving of the trip.
