As per a report in Pinkvilla, the actor recently shot the promotional material at a Mumbai studio, kicking off his journey into the creature-comedy genre. A source close to the project mentioned that Kartik is very excited about this unusual and intriguing role in Naagzilla. Officially announced in April 2025, the film is set to release on August 14, 2026, coinciding with Independence Day weekend and Naag Panchami. According to the report, Kartik Aaryan will play Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, an Ichadaari Naag, in the film. Naagzilla: Cast And Other Details Mrighdeep Singh Lamba will helm the film, having previously entertained audiences with his directorial skills in the Fukrey franchise. Interestingly, the Kartik Aaryan picture has franchise potential, depending on how well the first film performs. While the casting for Naagzilla has been kept under wraps, sources indicate that Ravi Kishan has joined the cast. Although an official confirmation is awaited. Naagzilla will be Kartik Aaryan’s second collaboration with Karan Johar, following Tu Meri Main Tera Tu Meri.
