Karrueche Tran reveals why she likes dating older men amid Deion Sanders rumors: ‘The way to go’

Karrueche Tran has further fueled dating rumors between her and NFL legend Deion Sanders after claiming that dating ‘older is the way to go’.

The ‘Claws’ actress was linked to the Colorado head coach back in July after she was by his side in hospital before he underwent bladder surgery.

And, while neither Sanders, 57, and Tran, 37, have confirmed the romance rumors, the model did hint at the possible relationship when approached by reporters this week.

When asked by TMZ whether they were official, Tran simply smiled and shrugged her shoulders before then being asked what her thoughts on the former NFL star are.

She said: ‘I think he’s a great person. A great father, everything he’s doing right now, the achievements. I think it’s great.’

The reporter then asked if she would ever ‘date an older guy’. She replied: ‘Absolutely! You know, men mature later than women so older is the way to go!’

Tran remained coy when asked about their relationship but did take time to praise Sanders

Sanders and Tran have been linked for a number of months after they were spotted together eating on a lunch date earlier this year.

Last month, she was spotted by his bedside when Sanders underwent bladder surgery after being diagnosed with cancer.

The Colorado football coach and NFL icon confirmed he is now cancer free following the op, which saw doctors completely eliminate the tumor before creating a new bladder.

Tran was also asked about Sanders’ current health condition, to which she said: ‘He’s good, he’s healthy, he’s cancer free – thank God’.

Sanders has remained tight-lipped on the rumored relationship, dodging a question about it during an appearance on the ‘Say What Needs To Be Said’ podcast with former NFL player Asante Samuel earlier this month.

The two-time Super Bowl champion jokingly pretended his connection was cutting out in a bid to dodge the question, before closing his computer and ending the call.

Tran’s most famous previous relationship came when she began dating R&B icon Brown back in 2011, before they briefly split when he reconnected with his ex-girlfriend Rihanna a year later.

In 2013 the pair rekindled their romance for another two years, only for it to end on a sour note when Brown was accused of sending her threatening text messages and voicemails.

A judge granted Tran a five-year restraining order against him in 2017 after she shared evidence of the messages in court, while she also alleged that he punched her in the stomach twice and pushed her down the stairs.

She also briefly dated Migos rapper Quavo, which came before a longer-term relationship with former NFL star Victor Cruz from 2017-21.

As for Sanders, he has been married twice to first wife Carolyn Chambers, with whom he had daughter Deiondra and son Deion Jr, before tying the knot again with Pilar Biggers-Sanders – the mother of sons Shilo and Shedeur as well as another daughter in Shelomi.

Following his divorce from Pilar, Deion was also previously engaged to Tracey Edmonds before they called it off in 2023.
