The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) will begin the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) mid-term exam tomorrow, September 12, 2025, at school centers. Centrally prepared question papers will be distributed among districts and schools. The exams will be held until September 19 in multiple shifts, with the majority of them taking place between 10:30 am and 1:45 pm. ”Accordingly, the 2025–26 SSLC preparatory examinations will be conducted from 12-09-2025 to 19-09-2025. All Headmasters and teachers of government, aided, and unaided schools are hereby directed to conduct these preparatory exams in a fair and transparent manner.,” the official notice stated. Students must reach the examination hall at least 1 hour before the exam commencement along with their hall ticket and a valid ID proof. Additionally, practical and oral examinations for JTS students will be held at their respective school levels on September 19, 2025, from 2:30 onwards. Whereas, the theory exam for Hindustani Music/Carnatic Music will be conducted from 2.00 pm to 3.45 pm & the practical exam from 3.45 pm to 5.15 pm at their respective school levels. Instructions – School Heads / Officials: All District Education Officers (DEOs) and Block Education Officers (BEOs) should ensure that the schools conduct the exams properly.All school heads should ensure that students attend the preparatory exams without fail.Government / Aided / Unaided schools should take full responsibility for conducting preparatory exams (especially the head teachers).Headmasters must ensure proper seating and examination arrangements for students.
