Despite delivering movies that earned crores at the box office and earning a place among India’s top directors, Ashwin continues to live a grounded life. He is known for keeping things simple, from his choice of clothes to his down-to-earth nature. When asked in an interview with Gulte about why he still uses the small car, he simply explained that there was nothing unusual about it. He mentioned that the car works perfectly fine and someone just happened to record a video of him driving it. For him, it was a normal day. After the success of Kalki 2898 AD, the filmmaker is currently busy with the pre-production work of Kalki 2, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas and Kamal Haasan.
