Kai Trump, Donald Trump's Granddaughter, to Make Her LPGA Tour Debut: How Much Money Can She Win?

Donald Trump’s granddaughter Kai Trump is set to make her debut on the LPGA Tour next month, after receiving a sponsor exemption to play in The Annika at Pelican Golf Club in Florida. The 18-year-old, who has committed to play college golf at the University of Miami, will compete in the tournament from 13 to 16 November. The event, one of the final stops on the LPGA calendar, carries a prize purse of $3.25m and is regarded as among the most competitive outside the majors. "My dream has been to compete with the best in the world on the LPGA Tour," Trump said in a statement. "This event will be an incredible experience. I look forward to meeting and competing against so many of my heroes and mentors in golf as I make my LPGA Tour debut." The eldest daughter of Donald Trump Jr, she is a senior at The Benjamin School in Florida and competes nationally through the American Junior Golf Association. She is currently ranked No. 461 in the AJGA Girls standings, having played three events this year. Trump, who has more than six million followers on social media, recently launched an apparel and lifestyle brand aimed at young women in sport. "Sponsor invitations are an important way to spotlight emerging talent and bring new attention to our tournaments and the LPGA," said Ricki Lasky, the tour’s chief business and operations officer. "Kai’s broad following and reach are helping introduce golf to new audiences, especially among younger fans. We’re excited to see her take this next step in her journey." WNBA star Caitlin Clark will also feature in the event’s pro-am on 13 November for a second consecutive year. Nelly Korda is the defending champion.
