Yet, he cannot overlook some key areas of the squad that requires reinforcing to help the Lilywhites compete on all fronts this season. Considering the struggles Spurs strikers have had scoring goals, bringing in a new No.9 has to be of paramount importance in the next transfer window. Former Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas has also urged Thomas Frank and Co. to invest in quality strikers to go to the next level. Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Barcelona are also keen on the 25-year-old, who will be eligible to agree a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs from January 1. Most of the clubs are aiming to sign the Serbian international on a free transfer next summer, but Spurs want to do a deal with Juventus in January. This gives the north Londoners an advantage over other suitors, with Fabio Paratici, who returned to the club earlier this month as a co-sporting director, a big fan of Vlahovic and wants to make a winter deal possible. Vlahovic has not really managed to live up to the lofty expectations at Juventus since arriving from Fiorentina in January 2022. Once regarded as one of the best young strikers in Europe, a combination of factors has not allowed him to unlock his true potential in Turin. The Serie A side potentially looking to offload the big Serb for just £20 million shows how his stuck his tumbled in the last couple of years. Despite losing his first-team spot this season, the 25-year-old remains Juve’s top scorer with four goals in 11 appearances across all competitions. Tottenham should be all over Vlahovic’s signing It goes without saying that Vlahovic failed to have the expected impact at Juve. At 25, though, he still has time in his favour to resurrect his career and a change in environment would help him do that. There is no doubt about the Serb’s quality. He is a well-rounded modern-day striker who fits Frank’s high-intensity, physically demanding style of play. Back in 2023, Fabio Paratici had urged Spurs to sign Vlahovic as a potential replacement for Harry Kane. Two years down the line, the Lilywhites have an opportunity to sign the centre-forward and Paratici could play a key role in getting a deal done. Spurs could certainly do a lot worse than pursuing the Juve man as an upgrade on Richarlison.
