Justin Bieber fans are convinced the latest Instagram post from mum, Pattie Mallette, is a message to his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez following her wedding.

The Disney alum, 33, and the Eastside rapper, 37, tied the knot in a lavish California bash attended by stars such as Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Martin Short, and Steve Martin.

Benny shared several intimate shots of the happy couple from the big day on social media, gushing about marrying his ‘real-life Disney princess.’

Selena and Justin, 31, previously dated from 2010 to March 2018, before the Baby hitmaker wed Hailey Bieber in September 2018.

Taking to Instagram, Pattie, 50, shared several black and white snaps of Justin, including one of the star wearing a t-shirt with the words ‘pray for me.’

She also shared a cryptic caption, which fans have flocked to the comment section to decipher.

‘We’re cheering you on and praying for you always Justin,’ she wrote.

She continued: ‘I declare freedom, strength, clarity, and healing over you Justin. Every chain of fear, confusion, heaviness, and pain—be broken in Jesus’ name.

‘Holy Spirit, surround him with truth, light, and protection. Heal every wound in his heart, mind and body, seen and unseen, restore what’s been stolen, and cover him in WHOLENESS.

‘Fill him to overflowing with Your love and comfort. Continue to raise him up as a voice for Your Kingdom, unshaken and on fire for You Lord. Silence every voice that doesn’t come from You, and let his life be a bold witness of Your power, love, and healing grace. Say amen if you agree.’

Her followers were quick to point out the timing of the post, speculating that the message could relate to Selena’s wedding.

‘Nothing, it’s just a Selena’s wedding,’ Askeurjojo wrote, while Nellyanous theorised: ‘His mom knew his feelings to Selena since her wedding is tomorrow.’

Others sent their well-wishes after mounting concern from fans over Justin’s social media usage.

Selena’s mum, Mandy Teefey, had shared some details about her daughter’s big day after reportedly not walking her down the aisle.

The couple’s loved ones also shared tributes to the duo, with Mandy penning a message to ‘the most kick a** couple she knows’ after their ‘perfect celebration.’

‘The evening couldn’t have been more beautiful and perfect! Absolutely flawless!’ she added. ‘All my love to my beautiful daughter @selenagomez and to the greatest son in law @itsbennyblanco!!!’ she wrote.

‘It was a fairytale come true and it was beyond heartwarming watching my father walk her down the aisle!!! XO.’

The Who Says songstress has previously opened up on the close relationship she shares with her maternal grandparents, David and Debbie, having previously lived with them.

Speaking about a typical Tuesday night in her home during an Instagram Q+A, she said: ‘I’m definitely eating something my nana made probably the night before.

‘I live with my grandparents, so we are always in the kitchen, always cooking, and we have leftovers.’

When Selena and Benny got engaged in 2024, Debbie shared an emotional message on Instagram, posting a series of family shots with her granddaughter showing off her new ring.

‘Our prayers have been answered,’ she wrote.

In December, the pair announced their engagement on Instagram with a post captioned, ‘Forever begins now,’ alongside pictures of Selena’s solitaire diamond ring in full view.

The couple had known each other for years through the music industry before they began dating in June 2023.

They met when they collaborated on the 2019 single I Can’t Get Enough with Tainy and J Balvin.

Speaking to Time Magazine, Selena previously revealed that she’d had plans to adopt a baby before meeting Benny, sharing that she got ‘used to’ being alone before the music producer came along, and had considered adopting a child when she turned 35, if she was still single.

‘I was alone for five years, and I got really used to it. A lot of people are afraid of being alone, and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it,’ she said.

‘Then I came up with my plan, which was I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone.’

Selena has previously spoken out about starting her own family, sharing that she may not be able to carry a child herself due to risks associated with her bipolar medication.

‘That’s a very big, big, present thing in my life,’ she told Rolling Stone in 2022. ‘However if I’m meant to have them, I will.’
