Benghazi’s Julyana Free Zone Port reported last Sunday (26 October) the arrival of two state-of-the-art bulk grain unloading machines with a capacity of up to 600 tons per hour. This acquisition is part of the port authority’s efforts to enhance its operational capabilities and improve handling efficiency. The Port’s Director of Handling and Storage emphasized that this equipment represents a significant leap forward in handling operations due to its advanced technology and high operational efficiency. The two machines were specifically manufactured for the Julyana Free Zone Port in Belgium in 2025 and are 80% complete. Installation and commissioning are currently underway, and they are expected to be operational within a month of their arrival. The machines can unload directly from ships into grain silos or onto transport trucks. The manufacturer has also provided the necessary spare parts and is fully prepared to cooperate with the Free Zone Authority in maintenance and training to ensure their efficient operation.
