After the successful operation, Julio Cesar Chavez took a moment to thank the doctors who supervised the delicate procedure. “Hello friends, I’m here with the three doctors, Imán Aguilar, Juan Carlos, and Dr. Sergio Sandoval, who was my doctor my whole life,” looking at the camera, the legend said.

The specialist described the procedure. “We removed a small stone from his left kidney that was already infected, but everything is very well; now the champion is ready to return to training. No more hitting the sack.”

Julio Cesar Chavez was admitted to Hospital Ángeles after doctors found that his pain was caused by a stone in his left ureter. For the unversed, the ureter is the tube that carries urine from the kidney to the bladder. To fix the problem, he needed the surgery to remove the stone.
