Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Will End With the Most Badass Scene in Anime

Jujutsu Kaisen is a premier shonen staple that has etched itself deeply into fans' hearts, with its intense battles, Bond-esque characters, and spectacular twists that keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen ended on a rough note for the anime’s protagonist, setting up events for a sensational sequel. The biggest highlight of season 2 was the sealing of Gojo Satoru, the apex sorcerer of the jujutsu society. Now, in the aftermath of chaos, characters like Kenjaku exploit Japan for sinister purposes, paving the way for climactic story progressions that may unfold in Jujutsu Kaisen’s third season. Culling Game Arc, One of Jujutsu Kaisen's Most Intense Arcs, Is the Major Highlight of Season 3 Undoubtedly, Culling Game is the highlight of Jujutsu Kaisen season 3. However, before the sequel dives into the arc’s developments, it will cover two pivotal arcs: Itadori's Extermination Arc and Perfect Preparation Arc. Although these arcs span just 22 chapters, they are crucial building blocks to the Culling game arc. They establish a new relationship between Itadori and Yuta Okkotsu, and host the selection of a new Zenin Clan leader, much to the outrage of Naoya Zenin. Another daunting change both arcs offer is the world’s sensitivity to sorcery. Initially, jujutsu sorcery was a covert lifestyle known and practised by a select individuals and families tasked with eliminating curses. However, after Kenjaku’s actions in season 2 of Jujust Kaisen, the world is now sensitive to the nuances of cursed spirits and jujutsu sorcery. The inevitable effect of this development is humanity’s vulnerability to wide-scale manipulation by Kenjaku, which the story explores. Kenjaku’s Culling Game presages an ominous era that upturns the tenets of the Jujutsu Kaisen ethos so far. The arc unfolds over 63 chapters, with a dangerous undertone: participants in the Culling Game engage in a battle royale using jujutsu techniques. Participants must follow these strict rules of the game or risk having their cursed techniques removed. The goal of this Darwinian event, spreading across 10 barrier colonies in Japan, is Kenjaku’s warped way of forcing humanity's evolution and optimizing cursed energy. The Culling Game is intense and filled with some of the most powerful jujutsu sorcerers who battle each other fiercely in Kenjaku’s distasteful event. Fans of the manga are well aware of another huge event that occurs in the Culling Game arc involving Gojo. Now the question remains, will it make it to screens in season 3? Season 3 May Feature The Return of the Greatest Sorcerer One of Jujustu Kaisen's noteworthy accomplishments is that the anime dutifully adapts the manga. The anime doesn’t compromise on the story and follows the manga faithfully, establishing a pattern that fans can use to predict the length of season 2. Following the pacing of seasons 1 and 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen, season 3 may adapt 3-4 chapters per episode. Consequently, if the season also adopts the 24-episode approach, there is a high possibility that fans might witness the return of Gojo, the world’s strongest sorcerer. For the longest, Gojo Satoru tipped the power scales in the story to be in favor of the jujutsu sorcerers, and eliminating the genius sorcerer was Kenjaku’s surefire strategy for executing his plans. However, according to the manga, the Culling Game arc also features Gojo's unsealing to restore balance to the world. Hence, Gojo’s return in the season 3 episodes will make for an astonishing finale that will resonate among fans of Jujutsu Kaisen. It’s the first crucial step in the culmination of the series’ most iconic battle fans still relish to date. Regardless, even though the character doesn’t make a return, another horrible event will take center stage. Season 2 Will Feature New Interesting Characters, and Sukuna’s Return New faces like Kinji Hakari, Kashimo, and Angel will be making their debut in Jujutsu Kaisen season 3, and they will be playing their respective roles in the Culling Game. Similarly, Yuji and Megumi will participate in sensational clashes, alongside Yuta Okkotsu, who made his first appearance in Season 2. Although Kenjaku is the orchestrator of the Culling Game, Jujutsu Kaisen’s most powerful antagonist finds his way to the core of the story, destabilizing Itadori Yuji using his colleague Megumi. In the Culling Game arc, Sukuna, through a binding vow, takes control over Megumi’s body, unleashing wanton chaos. The switch between hosts changes the dynamic of Jujustu Kaisen. The story was built on the premise that Sukuna would be under Yuji's control, and even though the subjugation has been inefficient, Sukuna could only roam free on borrowed time. Unfortunately, with Megumi as a host, Sukuna now has unrestricted freedom, personifying jujutsu sorcerers' greatest fear.
