JoyFM’s ‘Showbiz A-Z’ wins Best Radio Entertainment Programme at 29th GJA Awards

JoyFM’s entertainment show, ‘Showbiz A-Z’, has been crowned the Best Radio Entertainment Programme at the 29th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards. The prestigious accolade, presented on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, reaffirms ‘Showbiz A-Z’s’ dominance as the most influential and authoritative voice in Ghana’s arts and entertainment industry. The victory for ‘Showbiz A-Z’ significantly contributes to the impressive overall performance of its parent company, The Multimedia Group Limited (MGL), Ghana’s largest independent media organisation. ‘Showbiz A-Z,’ hosted by Kwame Dadzie, is celebrated for its deep-dive analysis, exclusive interviews, and balanced critique of the film, music, fashion, and digital arts sectors. The show serves as a critical platform for industry stakeholders, often influencing policy and public perception regarding intellectual property rights, funding, and talent development within Ghana’s creative economy, which contributes substantial revenue and employment. The 29th GJA Awards was historic, being the first time the ceremony was hosted outside the capital, Accra, and was held under the distinguished patronage of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. The consistent recognition of programmes like ‘Showbiz A-Z’ ensures that the media remains accountable for providing credible and engaging content, even in the highly competitive realm of entertainment. Multiple awards in high-impact categories on the night underscore MGL’s consistent investment in high-quality programming that sets the agenda across news, politics, and culture. In total MGL swept eight awards.
