Jordan 6 'Cap & Gown' 2026 Release Date & Details

The Jordan 6s are one of the most slept-on models in the Jordan line, but they still hold some of the best classic colorways. The Infrared 6s are, in my opinion, the best pair to ever come out of the 6s lineup, and I’m hyped they’re releasing again next year so I can finally add them to my collection. A theme Jordan Brand seems to never miss on is the Cap & Gown or Black Cat look — all-black sneakers with that sleek, luxury vibe. With these upcoming 6s, Jordan decided to combine both worlds. The Cap & Gown 6s are rumored to release next summer, and I’m fully on board. I still remember when the Cap & Gown 11s dropped in 2018. I got them as a gift and literally could not stop staring at them — they were that clean. We’re already seeing the love for blackout sneakers continue. The Black Cat 4s are coming back to fans this Black Friday, and it looks like Jordan Brand has no plans of slowing down with these all-black silhouettes that collectors go crazy for. There isn’t an official release date just yet, but the Cap & Gown 6s are expected to drop Summer 2026 — right in time for graduation season. If you’re crossing that stage, these might be the perfect graduation sneaker. Clean, subtle, all-black, and a retro Jordan? It really doesn’t get more iconic than that. One detail that stands out from the mock-ups is the reflective finish seen along the midsole and overlays. Reflective hits have always been a plus for me. One of my first reflective pairs was the Yeezy 350 “Yechiel”, and I still consider those one of my favorite sneakers ever — flashy in the perfect way. When release day does come, expect these at major retailers like JD Sports, Champs, Foot Locker, Snipes, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and other Jordan Brand partners. But if you want to avoid the chaos of in-store pickups, the Nike App is always the move. Sign up as a member, turn on notifications, and stay ready for a shock drop — because Nike has been doing those a lot lately.
