Jonathan Gavin Antony Strikes Gold at ISSF Junior World Cup; Rashmika Sahgal Shines with Silver

Jonathan, who topped qualification with a score of 586-19x, stunned the field in the finals by hitting 21 of 24 shots in the 10-ring, finishing with a commanding lead of 8.5 points. Italy’s Luca Arrighi and Spain’s Lucas Sanchez Tome took silver and bronze respectively.

In the women’s final, Rashmika battled fiercely but fell short by 4.8 points to Individual Neutral Athlete Evelina Shiena, who led from start to finish. Iran’s Fatemah Shekari claimed bronze.

Other Indian finalists included Vanshika Chaudhary and Mohini Singh, who placed fifth and sixth respectively. The skeet qualification rounds also saw strong performances from Harmehar Singh Lally and Mansi Raghuwanshi, both topping their respective fields.

India’s performance at the Junior World Cup continues to reflect the country’s growing dominance in precision shooting sports.
