Bollywood’s much-loved courtroom drama, Jolly LLB, is back with its third chapter and this time the clash is stronger than ever. Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi return as rival lawyers in part 3. The first film revolved around a shocking hit and run case, while the second dealt with a fake encounter case. This time, the story dives into the sensitive topic of farmer suicides and land acquisition.
With two Jolly’s standing on opposite sides of justice, the movie promises witty arguments, emotional moments and plenty of drama inside the courtroom. Will this legal battle open doors for another chapter in the series or will it bring the saga to an end? Let’s explore the film’s journey, its message and its powerful ending.
Plot Explained (Spoiler Ahead)
Rajaram Solanki, a poor farmer from Parsaul village in Bikaner, is forced to sell his land to a company owned by Haribhai Khaitan, played by Gajraj Rao. The loss shatters him and he ends up dying by suicide, leaving behind his wife Janki (Seema Biswas) and widowed daughter-in-law. Sandhya (Amrita Rao), wife of Jagdish Tyagi (Arshad Warsi), works in an NGO that helps women who have not been paid for their land. She brings Janki Amma to her husband, but he sends her to Jagdishwar Mishra (Akshay Kumar).
When Sandhya approaches him, Mishra pretends not to know anything related to Janki Amma’s matter. Later, he sees her waiting in the rain outside his home. At first, he refuses because of his family’s money problems, but her suffering touches his heart and Mishra agrees to take her case.
Jagdishwar Mishra first supports Haribhai in court, who offers him a daily fee of Rs 50,000 to fight for his side. But things change when Jolly learns that Haribhai cleared his name in the land case by spreading a false story about Rajaram and his late daughter-in-law. Shocked by his plan, Jolly decides to cut all ties with him.
Meanwhile, Janki Amma prepares to leave for her village, but at the station, Mishra arrives to apologise. She then requests both Jollys fight together. Inside the courtroom, the two lawyers try to outsmart the other, which only weakens the case. In the end, it is their wives who help them put aside their differences and work for justice.
The Courtroom Drama
Both Jagdish Tyagi and Jagdishwar Mishra come together to stop Haribhai Khaitan’s plan of destroying the village for his grand Bikaner to Boston project. But Khaitan hires Vikram (Ram Kapoor), a powerful lawyer, to defend him. Things take a dark turn in the village when a shooter fires at the police and creates chaos. Mishra tries to catch him, but the attacker gets killed, while Tyagi and Janki Amma get hurt.
With Tyagi injured, Mishra takes charge of the final hearing. He cleverly exposes a false witness, proving Khaitan’s fraud. As tension rises, Tyagi and Sandhya arrive with the injured cop, who admits the truth. Tyagi then delivers a moving argument on how the rich exploit the poor and Janki Amma finally wins the case. The villagers celebrate by tearing down Khaitan’s banner and both Jollys proudly chant, Jai Jawan Jai Kisan. The film ends with a hint at their return.
