John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar to Open Wrestlepalooza, Not Close Show

So now, according to McAfee, John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar will be opening the show instead of ending Wrestlepalooza. It’s unclear exactly why the card has changed, but for those who only wanted to watch that match, you’re in luck, it seems. It’s worth bringing up that just last week, on ESPN’s SportsCenter, WWE commentator Joe Tessitore had confirmed that John Cena Vs. Brock Lesnar was going to be the main event. Before that, there was speculation that it was going to be the main event, but like anything, times have changed.

This match will mark one of Cena’s last ones. He only has five left on his retirement tour. Cena’s last match is scheduled for December 13 on Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, D.C., while for Lesnar, this is his first match since August 2023. He was gone from the company for two years due to his name being part of the Janel Grant lawsuit that was filed against former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. He was originally supposed to be part of the 2024 Royal Rumble.
