The event, which is free to attend, will take place at West Bromwich Town Hall, West Bromwich High Street on Thursday, November 6, and is open to anyone looking for a job in the Black Country. Local employers with live vacancies from across the Black Country will be on hand to chat to people looking for a role and to give advice on applications. Employers from a variety of industries and sectors will be taking part, including warehouse, care, and customer service to name a few. The Individual Placement and Support (IPS) and Retention team at BCHFT provides support to individuals across the Black Country who aim to enter some form of paid employment or wish to change their job to better suit their needs. The service is available to people who are open to secondary mental health services in the Black Country and the team is made up of vocational specialists who provide one to one support to help people achieve their goals. Vocational specialists can help clients identify jobs they want, search and apply for jobs and support individuals in their place of work. The team regularly hold job fairs for Black Country job seekers, with their previous event in Sandwell seeing over 200 people attend as well as showcasing over 25 organisations who had open and local vacancies. The event takes place from 10am – 1pm and is open to both the general public and IPS clients. Georgina Bilsby, Team Lead for IPS Sandwell said: “We’re proud to be building on the success of our previous IPS job fairs across the Black Country and, once again, bringing people together — connecting local employers with local talent. Whether you’re starting out, looking for a fresh start, or exploring new opportunities, this is a chance to meet employers with live vacancies on the day, to discuss recruitment processes and to put a face to the application! Our dedicated vocational specialists are here to support job seekers in finding meaningful, sustainable work, while working closely with employers to match the right candidates to the right roles. Everyone is welcome - come along, connect with others and take that next step towards suitable employment.” Find out more about Black Country Healthcare’s Employment Services by visiting blackcountryjobsupport.com
