The Hollywood Reporter can exclusively unveil the trailer for Joachim Lafosse’s new film, Six Days in Spring, competing in official selection at this year’s San Sebastian Film Festival.
Set to premiere at the Spanish fest Sept. 20, the movie stars Eye Haïdara (The Nannies, C’est la vie!) as Sana, a mother struggling to provide her 10-year-old twins with a spring vacation.
When Sana’s plans collapse, she secretly takes them to a luxury villa on the French Riviera owned by her former in-laws. Over six days, joy and anxiety collide as the family hides in plain sight in what the Belgian director calls “a story of dad’s money and mom’s precarity.”

The cast also features Jules Waringo, Emmanuelle Devos, and Damien Bonnard, with Leonis and Teoudor Piñero Müller making their screen debuts as the twins.
Drawing from his own childhood memories, Lafosse’s drama blends social critique with the intimacy of a family story. Shot in natural light on the Riviera by cinematographer Jean-François Hensgens and scored by Reyn, Six Days in Spring “plays with the tension of a heist film while retaining a deep emotional core.”
The film is produced by Stenola Productions, Les Films du Losange, Samsa Film, and Menuetto, and represented internationally by Les Films du Losange. It lines up alongside a host of premieres taking place on the northern coast of Spain, including the Russell Crowe-starring Nuremberg, Edward Berger’s Ballad of a Small Player, Alice Winocour’s Couture and Noah Baumbach’s Jay Kelly.
