Jimmy John’s is giving its customers a cheesy fall selection suitable for anyone who loves pizza.
The sandwich chain has launched its first-ever pizza themed sandwiches: The Toasted Sicilian Pizza Sandwich and the Toasted Three Cheese Pizza Sandwich.
The Toasted Sicilian features layers of salami, Capocollo, ham, mozzarella, marinara sauce and oregano-basil on French bread.
Customers can also satisfy their pizza cravings by ordering the three cheese, loaded with mozzarella, provolone and parmesan.
‘Jimmy John’s Toasted Pizza Sandwiches give our fans the best of both worlds — our perfectly toasted French bread, zesty marinara sauce, premium toppings, and of course, a melty mozzarella cheese pull,’ said Kate Carpenter, vice president of marketing.
The offerings, which will be available until January 5, come after Jimmy John’s competed with chains like Subway and Jersey Mike’s to have the best sandwiches of the summer.
Dubbed the Summer Menu of Ultimate Temptation (SMUT), the seasonal offer featured four sandwiches and an audiobook narrated by The White Lotus star Walton Goggins.
The chain has become a force to be reckoned with, and with over 2,600 restaurants, it’s one of the fastest-growing restaurant brands in the country.

It comes as some sandwich chains have been unpredictable for consumers, especially Subway — the largest sandwich chain in the US.
The brand has been on a downward spiral, and was at risk of being acquired by Jersey Mike’s in 2024.
Jersey Mike’s also took over the role of NFL’s top fast food sponsor from Subway after five years of collaboration.
Prior to the NFL, the chain had tapped actor Danny DeVito as the face of its national ad campaigns and has been growing its sports partnerships — including a recent deal naming it the ‘official sub sandwich’ of the NHL.
With chains like Jimmy John’s and Jersey Mike’s growing, Subway is shrinking, closing more than 1,645 locations in the past two years.
By the end of 2024, there were just 19,502 locations after the popular sandwich chain shut 631 underperforming restaurants last year.
Subway had already been struggling financially for several years and was acquired by Roark Capital Group in 2023.
Several franchisees have also filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, and the chain abruptly closed 23 locations across two states after a bank hacking nightmare.

As of now, Subway has yet to enter this fall’s sandwich war.
Chick-fil-A, however, fired shots early by launching Pretzel Cheddar Club Sandwiches.
Available in original, spicy or grilled flavor, the sandwiches are made with lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, bacon and Dijon mustard sauce on a toasted pretzel bun.
The sandwiches’ launch came following a successful test run last spring in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Customers can also munch on new chips — including Chick-fil-A sauce-flavored waffle chips. They will also be available at select retailers this fall.
Other chains that have launched items in time for fall include McDonald’s, Starbucks and Burger King.
