JetBlue Announces In-Flight Changes for Winter

A range of in-flight seasonal changes—including a menu and new in-flight entertainment options—have been announced by JetBlue, which is intended to make passengers traveling on its flights over winter enjoy a more memorable and festive experience. Why It Matters The winter peak travel period is about to start, which will see millions of people across the U.S. take flights to visit family and friends, go on vacation, and conduct year-end business. JetBlue has launched these in-flight additions to enhance their experience, making their time on board more personal and pleasurable this holiday season. What To Know JetBlue’s new onboard products this winter. JetBlue has announced the following new in-flight additions: Blue Charms: Like the iconic JetBlue Wings pins, these playful charms are collectible, wearable accessories—designed to be worn on clothes and shoes—that will allow passengers to commemorate their flights. There are two to collect: The Wings Blue Charm and the Spotlight Tailfin Blue Charm, and they’re available on request during flights. In-flight entertainment: From December, JetBlue will be the first airline to show episodes of the new CBS crime series, Boston Blue—a spin-off from the Blue Bloods series starring Donnie Wahlberg as Detective Danny Reagan, who is now serving with the Boston Police Department—on passengers’ personal seatback entertainment screens. As part of JetBlue’s “Seasons Screenings,” they will also be able to watch holiday films such as A Christmas Story, Elf, and Home Alone. New Menus: JetBlue has partnered with restaurateur Charlie Bird to bring a new seasonal menu to its premium business-class flights, between the U.S. and Europe—which is called the Mint transatlantic experience. Dishes include banana bread pudding or spinach frittata with goat’s cheese for breakfast and pork shoulder with figs, or Orecchiette with spicy vodka sauce for lunch and dinner. Specifically on European routes, JetBlue’s partner, Dig Inn, will offer passengers healthier options like overnight oats or egg salad croissants for breakfast, and ginger garlic tofu with soba noodles or pesto pasta salad for lunch and dinner. What People Are Saying In its official statement, JetBlue said: “Whether you’re going to grandma’s place or taking grandma and the whole family on a Caribbean escape instead, JetBlue is here to help you make the most of your winter with onboard amenities that feel like home wherever you go.” What Happens Next JetBlue passengers can access full menu listings and the latest entertainment line-up on the airline’s official in-flight experience page. Future updates are expected as JetBlue evaluates customer satisfaction and engagement throughout the festive travel rush.
