Jet2 issues warning to passengers flying to Greece on October 1

Jet2 has warned passengers flying to and from Greece on October 1 if strikes action in the country could impact air traffic control, as well as taxi and ferry services. The airline said it was monitoring the situation but warned that flights could be affected. It currently plans to operate all flights as scheduled. According to Travel and Tour World , the nationwide general strike is in response to new labour laws, which include a rule to allow shifts to last up to 13 hours a day. As well as striking against the new laws, unions are also calling for a 35-hour, five-day workweek and pay rises to keep up with inflation.
