Jericho Road Community Health Center announced Monday its chief medical officer will become its new CEO, taking the place of founder Dr. Myron Glick.
Dr. Allana M. Krolikowski will take the organization’s top job on Oct. 6, Jericho Road said in a news release.
Krolikowski was appointed chief medical officer in 2019 and has deep ties to the organization. She worked as an undergraduate intern at Jericho Road in 2005, and later in the organization’s front office. She also completed her clinical rotation in family medicine there and came back to work as a physician in 2015.
Glick, in April, announced plans to step down as CEO. He plans to stay with the organization as a physician and public health advocate.
Glick and his wife, Joyce, opened Jericho Road Family Practice on Buffalo’s West Side in 1997. That small family practice would eventually grow into a $42 million organization that serves more than 24,000 patients annually, with a particular focus on addressing the issues of health and poverty in some of Buffalo’s most underserved communities.
“For the past 10 years, I have focused my work at Jericho Road on comprehensive primary care, health care capacity building, and advocating for health justice to advance health equity and access. I am passionate about our mission to care for our communities and advocate for systemic health equity in order to demonstrate the unconditional love of Jesus,” Krolikowski said in a written statement. “I look forward to honoring the legacy of Myron and Joyce Glick, while leading Jericho Road in this next season to advance our mission.”
