Jennifer Lopez had her fans doing a double-take after sharing her latest transformation for her new project.
In the photos, JLo smiled coyly at the camera with her new platinum blonde locks in a pin-up style up-do, with a chic pink headband on top.
Pairing the hairstyle with a deep red lip and a smoky eyeshadow, the singer looked miles away from being Jenny on the Block but very similar to another A-Lister.
Jennifer debuted the new look ahead of her film, Kiss of the Spider Woman, where she plays Ingrid Luna and Aurora.
‘Stepping into the role of Aurora felt like dancing through the golden age of cinema … with all the glitz, glamour, and a whole lot of dancing. Stepping back into time has never been so much fun,’ she said.
As well as admiring the transformation, celebrity makeup artist Scott Barnes did for the role, other fans of the star were quick to comment on Jennifer’s resemblance to Gwen Stefani in this ‘no ordinary glam’.
One person wrote ‘Thought this was Gwen Stefani at first glance!’, while another said, ‘What in the Gwen Stefani is this?’
Jennifer even had other celebs confused with the uncanny likeness, with Natasha Bedingfield commenting ‘Omg you look like @gwenstefani Love you sis’.
Jennifer’s latest role in Kiss of the Spider Woman is the movie adaptation of the 1993 Broadway musical, and is based on Manuel Puig’s 1976 novel of the same name.
Directed by Bill Condon, the on-screen adaptation stars Jennifer alongside Diego Luna as Valentin Aregui and Tonatiuh as Valentin’s cellmate, Luis Molina.
Jennifer plays Aurora, a figment of Luis’s mind, as an escape from his imprisonment. In one of the fantasies, Luis imagines Aurora as a spider woman who kills her victims by kissing them.
Speaking to Variety Magazine on her musical film debut, Jennifer said: ‘We put our heart and soul into it and we rehearsed like crazy for the time that we had and it was a beautiful thing and again, I’m living my childhood dreams.’
Jennifer’s role in the film is one of the many projects she has worked on since her divorce from Ben Affleck earlier this year.
The film premieres in Ireland on Friday, October 10.
