Jenna Bush Hager is all about a last-minute hair transformation. Bush Hager, 43, took to Instagram on Tuesday, November 11, to show a behind-the-scenes clip of hairstylist Chris McMillan giving her a trim minutes before going on air for the Today Show. “You already know what happens when he’s here,” she said as the hairstylist, who has worked with other stars including Jennifer Aniston and Leslie Bibb, sectioned off her blonde mane and trimmed her bob. McMillan, 58, then joked that they “don’t mess around” with their time spent together. “We get right to business.” As he finished up trimming her ends, Bush Hager shouted that there was only “two minutes ‘til air!” McMillan then ran his fingers through her locks and said, “Look! We’re good to go! I’m happy.” Bush Hager tore her cape off of her outfit and stood up and ran inside the studio as McMillan got rid of stray hairs off her black top with a blow dryer. “A fresh trim nine minutes before the show starts? No problem! 😉,” Bush Hager captioned the post. “@mrchrismcmillan killed it as usual! #jennaandfriends.” Her fans were quick to compliment her trim in the comments section. “That haircut is so adorable on you!!” one gushed, while a second praised, “Jenna, I love that you are keeping the bob up!” A third wrote, “I love the bob. I think Jenna looks terrific.” This isn’t the first time Bush Hager has changed her look up on Today. In June, she chopped her long hair off while Bibb, 51, and McMillan made an appearance on Today. Following in Bibb’s footsteps with her blunt bob ahead of filming The White Lotus in Thailand, Bush Hager was influenced to hop on the bangwagon and cut her hair. At the end of the show, she sat in a chair and McMillan started snipping at her tresses. “You’re such a badass, you’re cool. I love this,” Bibb said, hyping up the talk show host. She then picked up a piece of her cut hair and handed it to Bush Hager. “Whoa, that’s so short,” she said of her new look. “Tomorrow, you’ll see the full look,” she told viewers watching at home. Bush Hager also shared that her kids advised her against getting the trendy style. “My daughter was like, ‘Mom, don’t do it. You’re gonna regret it,’” she recalled. (Jenna shares daughters Mila, 13, Poppy, 9, and son Hal, 5, with husband Henry Chase Hager.) McMillian then reassured her that the look was “modern and sexy.” The following day, Jenna revealed to Bibb, who was serving as a guest host on her show, what her family thought of her new look. Mila immediately told her mom she didn’t “like” the bob, while Poppy simply asked her, “Why would you do that?” Hal, for his part, burst into tears. Bibb then quipped, “Are those real tears? Your children are monsters. They started crying!” She added that Jenna’s bob was “sexy and powerful and glamorous.” Jenna then reassured Bibb that her son was “fake crying,” which was Hal’s love language. While her kids weren’t here for her haircut, Henry, 47, told her it was “hot.”
