Each week during the season, the World will update its ranking of the top-10 metro high school football players. Rankings are based on performance this season, previous years’ accomplishments and potential. Below are the updated rankings with the players’ Week 0 position in parentheses:
1. KD Jones
Jenks, RB, Sr. (1)
Oklahoma State commit had 14 carries for 169 yards and two TDs in a 48-30 win over Union. For the season, has 537 yards and 10 TDs in three games. Was an All-World offensive player of the year finalist in the past two seasons. In 2024, carried 229 times for 1,476 yards and 17 TD. Also caught 24 passes for 256 yards and four TDs. Counting his freshman season at Broken Arrow, has career totals of 4,490 rushing yards and 51 TDs with 95 catches for 1,190 yards and 10 TDs.
2. Semaj Stanford
Broken Arrow, DB/WR, Jr. (2)
Caught four passes for 101 yards and Broken Arrow’s final TD in a 21-14 win over Mustang. Also had a 19-yard rush and five tackles. Had 32 tackles in the previous two games. For the season, has six catches for 124 yards. In 2024, had a team-high 102 tackles for Jenks and was an All-World first-team selection. Overall, he had 193 tackles and four takeaways in the past two seasons.
3. Cord Nolan
Bixby, LB/TE, Sr. (3)
After a bye week, the Class 6AI No. 1 Spartans host 6AII No. 3 Choctaw on Friday. The Texas Tech commit has eight tackles and a rushing TD after two games this season. In 2024, he had 108 tackles, including 77 solos, with 17 for losses and five sacks. On offense, he had 35 catches for 522 yards with five TDs. In 2023, he caught 23 passes for 632 yards and 10 TDs. Caught a TD pass as a freshman in the ‘22 state final.
4. Xavier ‘Zizi’ Okwufulueze
Rejoice Christian, WR/DB, Sr. (4)
After a bye week, the Class AI No. 1 Eagles will visit Christian Heritage on Friday. OU commit has 12 catches for 251 yards and three TDs in two games. In 2024, he was selected to the All-World first team after he caught 46 passes for 901 yards and nine TDs. On defense, he scored on two of his four interceptions for the Class AI champion Eagles.
5. Carson Kirby
Bixby, QB, Sr. (5)
This season, he is 34-of-47 for 456 yards and four TDs. During the past two seasons, Kirby completed 394-of-565 passes for 5,196 yards and 69 TDs while winning two state titles. Last year, he passed for 2,976 yards and 34 TDs.
6. Kailib Dillard
Jenks, DB/WR, Jr. (8)
Caught five passes for 159 yards and two TDs against Union. Also had four tackles and averaged 37.3 yards on three punts. Had 10 receptions in the season opener. Last year, had 68 tackles with seven pass breakups and an interception in his first season with Jenks after helping Lincoln Christian win a 3A title in 2023. Won All-World preseason readers voting as the area’s top defensive back. Has 14 major college offers.
7. Braeden Presley
Bixby, WR/DB, Sr. (7)
OSU commit has five catches for 168 yards, a 43-yard run, five tackles, an interception and two pass breakups in two games. Last year, had 33 solo tackles and four interceptions. In limited time on offense, he had 25 catches for 356 yards plus 14 rushes for 245 yards with six TDs.
8. Easton Webb
Sand Springs, QB, Sr. (6)
Completed 16-of-26 passes for 178 yards and two TDs in a 45-17 loss at Owasso. Had a challenging first two games against two of 6AI’s top three teams. Has career passing totals of 6,401 yards and 63 TDs as he has connected on 453-of-742 attempts. In 2024, he passed for 3,502 yards and 41 TDs as the Sandites made it to the 6AII semifinals. Also is one of the state’s top baseball pitchers.
9. Drew Frankenfield
Owasso, QB, Jr. (10)
Completed 12-of-19 passes for 224 yards with two TDs and an interception, plus he rushed for a TD against Sand Springs. This season, is 41-of-80 for 523 yards and five TDs. Last season, he completed 178-of-232 passes (77%) for 2,671 yards and 35 TDs with only six interceptions as the Rams went 12-0 before losing to Bixby on the state title game’s final play.
10. Dom Forbes
Sand Springs, WR, Jr. (9)
Had seven receptions for 98 yards and a TD plus two kickoff returns for 78 yards against Owasso. Earned All-World first-team honors last year as he caught 70 passes for 1,551 yards and 20 TDs. He also scored on five of his 17 carries.
