JEE Mains 2026 Registration News: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is yet to start the registration process for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2026 Session 1. Once the process begins, candidates will be able to apply for the exam on the official website of NTA JEE at jeemain.nta.nic.in. According to NTA, the registration for JEE Mains Session 1 is expected to begin in October 2025. JEE Mains 2026 will be held in two sessions. The first session is scheduled from January 21 to 30, 2026, and the second session will take place from April 1 to 10, 2026. The exam will consist of two papers — Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E./B.Tech.) at National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), as well as universities and institutions supported or recognised by participating state governments. JEE (Main) also serves as an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Paper 2, on the other hand, is held for admission to B.Arch and B.Planning courses across the country.
