Jaxson Dart discusses playing the villain for Eagles rematch

Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart picked up the first prime-time victory of his pro career when he guided the New York Giants to an impressive 34-17 win over the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles at MetLife Stadium on Oct. 9. The 5-2 Eagles will be looking for revenge when they host the 2-5 Giants this coming Sunday. While speaking with reporters on Wednesday, Dart indicated he's excited to experience the atmosphere at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field as an opposing player for the first time. Jaxson Dart hyped for "intense" game at Eagles "It's going to be intense for sure," Dart acknowledged about the Week 8 clash, per the Giants' website. "I can't wait to go out there and compete and kind of just feel the hostility in the air. The rivalry between the two organizations – it's going to be really cool. I kind of compare it to an SEC rivalry, so I'm really excited for the atmosphere. I know it's going to be intense, but just excited for it." During the "Thursday Night Football" win over the Eagles, Dart completed 17-of-25 pass attempts for 195 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions. He also rushed for 58 yards and a score as he and his teammates heard loud roars of approval from home fans throughout the contest. Dart understands things will be quite different at "The Linc" on the final Sunday of October. "It just amps up the intensity, amps up the moment – I mean, shoot, it's a lot more fun to play in front of that than to play in front of no one at all," Dart said about being a QB1 in a hostile environment. Jaxson Dart ready to play the role of villain vs. Eagles Ahead of the Week 7 matchup between the Giants and Denver Broncos, Broncos pass-rusher Jonathon Cooper took some shots at Dart regarding the signal-caller's celebratory dances and the necklace Dart wears during games. On Wednesday, Dart made it known that he has no problem being the villain in the eyes of opposing players and fans. "I think anybody finds it enjoyable when you're able to win games on the road," Dart explained. "That's something that we haven't done yet, so we're still chasing that. I'm just excited for the environment."
