The Lions looked just fine without Ben Johnson
Ben Johnson made a name for himself as the offensive coordinator in Detroit before he became the head coach of the Bears this season. After Goff and company struggled in Week 1, a lot of people wondered if the Lions will be in trouble without Johnson.
New Lions offensive coordinator John Morton put a lot of those concerns to rest on Sunday. Detroit had 511 yards of total offense, and the Bears had no answers for its passing attack. Johnson was hoping to make a statement against his former team, but his former team made the statement instead.
The Lions will face a much tougher test in Week 3, when they travel to Baltimore to face the Ravens on “Monday Night Football.”
