Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro reports that Green may miss four to six weeks of action, with 33% of all hamstring injuries in the NBA being reaggravated at some point. Green exited the game in the first quarter after driving to the basket, grabbing the back of his right leg, and being helped to the locker room. The 23-year-old missed the first eight games of the season recovering from the same injury and made his debut Thursday against the Clippers at home. After an explosive debut with 29 points and six 3-pointers, Green showed promise as he found instant chemistry alongside Devin Booker. Green’s debut was highly anticipated after his trade from the Rockets, and now, following the performance he delivered, his setback leaves the next player to step into his place. However, his teammates have his back and continue to offer support as he faces another recovery process. “It’s tough,” Booker said post-game, according to Arizona Central’s Duane Rankin. “I’ve definitely been through it. We’re gonna rally behind him. He’s been putting in a lot of work to be back on the court… [The] priority is to make sure he’s healthy fully [and] ready to go next time.” What was once a moment of optimism, with the Suns finally getting healthy and their Big Three ready to showcase their potential, has turned into another adjustment period with a starter sidelined once again.
