Jake Paul Reveals 5-Year Masterplan Amid Chaos Surrounding Gervonta Davis Fight

Five years ago, when Jake Paul turned pro with dreams of becoming a world champion, he could barely have imagined how far he’d come. After updating his record to 12-1, his ambitions now seem limitless. Wins over Mike Tyson and former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on June 28 have only boosted his confidence. While Tyson was past his prime and 58 years old with obvious ring rust, Paul still came out on top. Now, ‘The Problem Child’ believes he can take on any name, a mindset that clearly influenced his bold 2035 plans, which he shared with his 28.3 million Instagram followers recently. So, how realistic are these goals?
In just months (after drawing an average of 108 million viewers for his November bout with Mike Tyson), Jake Paul is set for his next fight, which is scheduled to be streamed on Netflix. Promoted as “a big cultural event,” the matchup features Gervonta Davis on the opposite side. If that says anything, it shows the YouTuber-turned-boxer is carving out global appeal, potentially even capturing Gen Alpha, a demographic he’s been targeting for years. And his latest to-do list is proof that he’s aiming bigger than ever.

Jake Paul’s ambitions tower over boxing’s limits
Just hours ago, Jake Paul took to Instagram to unveil a glimpse of his next five years. Captioning his post, “My 5-year plan 📈 Already crossing one off the list. The @betr Social Sportsbook is now LIVE in 25 states and the Betr Super App has officially arrived… even more to come soon 🤫,” Paul shared a video outlining his ambitious goals.
In the clip, Jake Paul revealed what he called his “Jake Paul 2035 year plan,” listing: “1. Become world champ. 2. Become billionaire. 3. Have three kids and get married to Jutta. 4. Launch the Betr Super App with the best daily fantasy app, 10,000x, a social sportsbook, Betr arcade, spreads, money lines, all of that.” Midway, however, he pulled a stunt, pretending to be caught off guard. “What? We just launched that?” he asked, to which a team member confirmed, “Yeah, we just launched that.” Paul responded with, “Like right now?” and after hearing another “yeah,” he laughed and said, “Okay, I’ll check that out. Go download it, I guess,” before continuing with his list.

Then came his boldest wish yet. ‘The Problem Child’ added, “Beat [Oleksandr] Usyk,” followed by “win an Oscar,” “fight on the moon,” and finally, “start a presidential campaign.” He closed the video by plugging the app once more, saying, “Go download the Betr Super App. We’re giving $10 to everyone who signs up today.”
Hold on. A fight with the undisputed heavyweight champion? While some of his plans sound extremely outlandish, this one just might become reality. How, you ask?
Interestingly, Jake Paul’s business partner Nakisa Bidarian fueled the speculation earlier this year. Speaking to Sky Sports, Bidarian revealed that Oleksandr Usyk’s side had shown genuine interest in facing Paul in an MMA bout. “We’ve had a couple of conversations, all very positive, and it just depends on how the timing lines up. I think the opportunity is there,” Bidarian said. “Jake is crazy enough to do it for sure. Usyk’s side seems very interested in it [too]. So it’s just about lining up the timing, and I think eventually it’s something that will happen.” But as Jake Paul hypes up his five-year vision while preparing for his November clash with Gervonta Davis, storm clouds already seem to be gathering over that matchup. Why, you ask?
Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis cancellation rumors put to rest
For fans eager to see one of this year’s most anticipated matchups, there’s bad news. The Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission (GAEC) has yet to make Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis official, citing the massive size difference between the fighters. On Instagram, MMA Fighting reported: “The Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission has not officially approved the bout between Jake Paul and Tank Davis, citing the significant weight difference between the fighters.” But does that mean the fight is off?
This is where the confusion begins. Popular combat sports outlet Happy Punch claimed on Instagram that GAEC chairman Rick Thompson and communications director Robert A. Sinners confirmed the fight between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis isn’t actually happening. According to their post, both fighters had reportedly withdrawn their request for event permits in Atlanta. USA TODAY was also told by Sinners that the event “will not be happening” due to the weight gap between the two men.

Naturally, the news fueled speculation that the bout had collapsed entirely. But then came a twist. In the comments section, a fan asked Happy Punch, “Is the fight off or just moving somewhere else?” The outlet replied, “It’ll be moved from Atlanta. Jake’s manager Nakisa said stay tuned.” So, while the GAEC’s decision has undeniably complicated matters, nothing conclusive has been announced to officially cancel the fight.
That leaves the door open to multiple possibilities. Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis may still clash, but at a different location, or they could remain on the same card, facing other opponents. Either way, GAEC’s ruling has thrown a major wrench into the process, leaving fans waiting to see how the situation unfolds. So, is this fight truly off, or just preparing for a new stage?
