TPCC working president T. Jayaprakash Reddy (Jagga Reddy) and Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited (TGIIC) chairperson Nirmala Reddy visited the Government Women’s Degree College in Sangareddy on Saturday, and announced a proposal for a major expansion plan to accommodate 1,000 students.
Mr. Jagga Reddy emphasised the importance of meeting the October 10 deadline for preparing estimates and designs. These will then be presented to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and ministers concerned for consideration.
The former local MLA suggested that the plan must include constructing a new hostel and college buildings with modern facilities. Each room in the proposed hostel would be spacious enough to accommodate 12 girls, ensuring comfortable living conditions.
“A large dining hall capable of seating 1,000 people at a time will be designed to cater to students’ needs,” he said. The proposal also includes constructing classrooms, staff rooms, a library, a computer lab, a science lab, and an auditorium to provide a conducive learning environment.
As a former student leader from Sangareddy, Mr. Jagga Reddy expressed his commitment in developing the college by leveraging his close contacts with the Chief Minister and Ministers.
