With a staff full of teachers who are already exhausted before November 1, and students too old for trick-or-treating threatening to egg neighbors’ houses, Barb (Sheryl Lee Ralph) gets inspired to take students on a camping trip. Despite a resounding lack of enthusiasm from her colleagues, Barb rallies Melissa (Lisa Ann Walter), Janine (Quinta Brunson), Gregory (Tyler James Williams), and Jacob (Chris Perfetti) to join her and the students in the great outdoors. Cue the expected and hilarious chaos that follows the Abbott teachers wherever they go. One of our favorite things about Abbott is that it’s a true ensemble in which everybody shines. You guys never miss.” “Poor Jacob,” another commented. “Can’t get a break.” Holidays at Abbott Elementary While Season 5’s “Camping” episode makes a case for the series’ most clever holiday episode, fans can expect a banger of a Christmas episode coming this winter. Brunson, who created the series, told Entertainment Weekly, “We’ll be doing a Halloween and Christmas episode again this season. This Halloween episode is really fun because we’re out of the school with this one,” she said. “It’s a joy to have an episode out of the school for the audience, and seeing what Halloween is going to look like now. For the Christmas episode, we are celebrating more than one thing on Christmas. Our Christmas episode is going to be a game changer. A lot’s gonna change after this Christmas episode.” We’ll have to wait to see what Santa delivers Abbott Elementary fans this Christmas. But if the show’s holiday episode brings half the laughs of its Halloween episode, Abbott Elementary fans are getting a seriously funny gift for Christmas this year.
