A beloved Benidorm star has revealed she has given birth to her second child.
Hannah Hobley played feisty teen mum Chantelle Garvey on the hit ITV comedy series, created by Derren Litten. The beloved sitcom followed a group of Brits at the iconic Solana all-inclusive Resort in Benidorm.
Hannah was a regular for the first three series, along with her on-screen parents Mick and Janice, played by Steve Pemberton and Siobhan Finneran. From hiding her pregnancy in the early days to falling in love with Geoff (Johnny Vegas), she kept fans more than entertained.
In 2009 though, Hannah left the show. Her fellow Garvey family stayed on the programme as series regulars until season six.
Since leaving Benidorm, Hannah has continued to act and appeared in BBC series Cranford from 2007-2019. Her personal life too, has been going from strength to strength.
In November 2022, she welcomed her first child, Beatrice with partner Nathan. And in 2023, she and Nathan tied the knot. And last week, Hannah announced she had given birth to her second child.
Taking to her Instagram, Hannah shared a slew of photos including a photo of her in hospital cradling her newborn. She wrote in the caption: “World, meet Agatha Hobley-Smith – our 8lb chunk of gorgeousness. Born on the 06-09-2025.”
Hannah’s pals and fans soon rushed to the comments section to send their congratulations. Oliver Stokes who played Chantelle’s brother Michael on the show, wrote: “Congratulations!”
Meanwhile her other Benidorm co-star Asa Elliott penned: “Congratulations.” Someone else gushed: “Oh Hannah can’t believe she’s here congratulations to you and Nathan and Beatrice. Welcome to the world Agatha.”
Eearlier this year, both Hannah and on-screen brother Oliver, appeared on Loose Women to discuss their time on the ITV series.
Hannah revealed that starring in Benidorm still “feels like yesterday” and she is regularly caught off guard by the ITV series being shown on television despite ending seven years ago.
Elsewhere in the interview, Oliver, 26, spoke fondly of his time playing Michael on Benidorm. He was just eight years old when he cast in the role, and explained how he would spend around three months at a time in Benidorm filming, with a tutor coming to do school work with him for up to five hours per day.
