It has been such a pain, literally, for Angel Reese as she’s been bothered by a persistent backache from her injury. She’s already missed out on several games since.
But like any good people manager, the coach Marsh has stressed that while the team is eager to have her return, Reese is not rushing.
“I think we’ve all been active in trying to integrate her back into the fold. At the same time, I think it’s something that she don’t want to push… I think, for us, inserting her back into the lineup and getting back out there with her teammates and I think we’re all just ready to roll.”
The stakes are still there. And Angel Reese knows what she can gain or lose in the next few games, including her long-term health. Marsh’s comments reflect both the team’s patience and the respect for Reese’s own judgment about her body.
The Sky, battling for playoff positioning, know Reese’s presence could be decisive. Still, they are prioritizing her recovery over immediate results, understanding that her impact goes beyond the next game.
