‘It’s rookie time in Cleveland’: What a former Brown and others said on social media after loss to Lions

CLEVELAND, Ohio — More miscues on offense and special teams plagued the Browns again as they were blown out in Detroit by the Lions, 34-10, on Sunday.
Joe Flacco threw two interceptions, giving him six on the season, and also lost a fumble.
The Browns special teams also gave up a 65-yard punt return touchdown to Kalif Raymond in the fourth quarter that helped break the game open in Detroit’s favor.
Jared Goff threw two touchdown passes in the win, both to Amon-Ra St. Brown.
With the loss, the Browns fall to 1-3 as they head to London next to face the Vikings, who lost in Dublin earlier on Sunday to the Steelers, 24-21.
Here is how social media reacted to the loss.

“It’s rookie time in Cleveland #browns #Cleveland Flacco run is over. Time to move on,” former Browns safety T.J. Ward posted.
“Joe Flacco has thrown 6 INTs in 1st four games, most by a Browns QB in 1st four games since 2019.Cleveland is 1-3 averaging 14 points per game.Feels like it’s just about time for Browns to give the rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders a shot to run this offense‚” NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe posted.
“Just got a bunch of tweets crushing Stefanski. His oline is in disarray. His QB options are a 40 years old or an over l-drafted 5’9 third rounder. His WR room is worst in the league. What do you guys think coaches do in that league?” Anthony Lima of 92.3 The Fan posted.
“I’m just confused what either rookie could be learning from watching this,” Nick Pedone of Bigplay and 92.3 The Fan posted.
“Frustrating thing, and I’ve watched it for years in Berea now, is they can’t operate a timing based NFL passing offense. You either have QB’s that can’t or won’t throw it to spots with trust, or you have QB’s who do and you have WR’s who don’t run right route, tip in to defense or fall down. I have never seen a timing & rhythm passing offense turn it over on what should be basic NFL completion stuff, year after year. You keep changing the QB’s and WR’s. At what point does who’s in charge of that WR room become accountable?” Blake Williams, the son of former Browns defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, posted.
“Maybe the Browns don’t put Dillon Gabriel in next week against the Vikings defense, but we need to see him shortly after that. Flacco O has 17, 17, 10, and 10 points,” Hayden Winks of Underdog Fantasy posted.
“I understood and agreed with the plan to play Flacco early and not have to throw a rookie into the fire.but you’ve gotta be flexible enough to change that plan when it’s this bad. you just can’t have Flacco under center next week in London,” Jordan Zirm of The Sporting News posted.
“Cleveland’s special teams have been anything but special this year,” Mike Lucas of the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show posted.

“Jerry Jeudy is one of the most frustrating Browns players I can remember. And that’s saying something,” Ben Axelrod of Awful Announcing posted.
