Zoppé will host performances every day but Mondays Nov. 1-30 in Redwood City. “What’s great about Zoppe is it always brings new and exciting acts while maintaining the warm, inviting atmosphere that keeps people coming back every year,” Brandon Council, Recreation Program coordinator for Redwood City, told Patch. “Even if you’ve been there will be acts performing feats never seen before. The most exciting new element this year is the inclusion of a live band.” The two-hour show tells the Zoppé family's love story, rooted in a romance between a circus performer and a ballet dancer. Expect acrobatics, canine tricks, equestrian showmanship, clown antics and audience participation. The intimate 500-seat tent ensures every seat is within 20 feet of the ring for a front-row view. “Zoppe connects audiences to a tradition that has roots 180 years ago when the Zoppe Family Circus first started,” Council told Patch. “The production honors that tradition by focusing on performers’ connections with the audience in an environment that brings them right up close to the action.” Experience the legendary Zoppé circus in this annual event. Charismatic ringmaster Patrick McGuire leads the show, featuring traditional circus riding with the thunderous beat of hooves. Inspired kids can attend the Zoppé Circus Camp for Kids Nov. 24–26. “Circus Camp is an awesome opportunity for kids to learn a variety of skills used directly in the show including juggling, tightrope walking, tumbling, and much more,” Council told Patch.
