It might only be September but many people – including major businesses – have their eye on the holiday season.
I don’t like this because that means we are skipping right over the best holiday: Halloween! I think we should put off all things holiday until we get through October 31st.
However, I know that not everyone feels the same and it is the most wonderful time of the year so I will allow a little leeway here. Ha!
One major business just made a huge announcement – Spirit Christmas is returning this year AND expanding to the midwest. That puts me in the Christmas spirit for sure.
What Is Spirit Christmas?
Sound familiar? That’s because Spirit Christmas is Spirit Halloween but just a different season. It’s basically a Christmas superstore similar to its sister store. They have Christmas decor and trinkets galore, along with photo opportunities with Santa.

The concept started last year in just a handful of stores. None of the stores were located in the midwest. There were stores in New Jersey, Connecticut, New York and Pennsylvania, along with a handful of others.
Spirit Christmas Expanding To The Midwest – Minnesota & Wisconsin Too?
Sadly, the superstore will be expanding – just not to our neck of the woods. Boo! Spirit Christmas will not be opening in Minnesota or Wisconsin. This year, there will be thirty stores across thirteen states.

Stores will be located in Illinois, Delaware, Michigan, Maryland and many more. Some states even get more than one store, which seems a little unfair at this point! If you want to go on a little road trip, you can find a full list online on the Spirit Christmas website.
