With hours to go until World Series Game 4, George Springer’s status is still up in the air. Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Springer, who exited World Series Game 3 in the seventh inning with “right side discomfort,” is “hour to hour” leading up to the game. The team is waiting to reveal a lineup until they know his final status. If he’s out, Bo Bichette will slide over to DH instead of the second base he’s been playing in the World Series. After the game, Schneider provided an update on his superstar outfielder. “It’s some right side discomfort. He’s already went for a MRI. We’ll see how it comes back and see how he wakes up tomorrow,” Schneider said. “But it sucks. He’s obviously a huge part of our lineup. Glad I got him out when I did and hopefully it didn’t make anything worse, but we’ll see how he is tomorrow.” Springer is likely doing whatever he can to suit up for Tuesday’s game, as the Blue Jays face a 2-1 deficit with two more games still to play at Dodger Stadium. Schneider said the team is expecting him to either be in the lineup or on the bench, meaning they won’t be making a move to remove him from the World Series roster.
