In a statement on the occasion of the 1st martyrdom anniversary of former Lebanon’s Hezbollah Resistance Movement Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Iranian foreign ministry noted, “All countries in the region are expected, while supporting stability and territorial integrity, to assist Lebanon in maintaining stability and strengthening national authority." October 28 marks the anniversary of the unprecedented terrorist act by the Zionist regime that assassinated Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah Resistance Movement Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah in the heart of Beirut's residential areas using advanced American weapons, the statement noted. This terrorist crime was not only a gross violation of the international rules and the United Nations Charter, but also a clear example of resorting to terror and assassination to harm an independent state that is a member of the United Nations. Undoubtedly, demanding punishment for the Zionist perpetrators for this heinous crime will remain an eternal demand from the countries of the region and freedom-seeking people. During three decades of leading the Lebanese Hezbollah Resistance Movement against aggression and occupation, martyr Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah played a decisive role in enhancing Lebanon's authority and establishing its deterrence against foreign aggression. Other great men along with martyr Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah were also assassinated by the criminal Israeli regime including martyr General Abbas Nilforoshan and other leaders of the Lebanese resistance. General Nilforoushan spent his life defending the homeland and, alongside his comrades on the resistance front, devoted all his efforts to supporting the oppressed Palestinian people and confronting the Zionist regime's genocide and warmongering. Paying tribute to the memory and path of Martyr Nasrallah and Martyr Seyyed Hashem Safieddin and other martyrs of the Resistance, Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs once again strongly condemns this terrorist act and reminds the responsibility of each government and the international community of the need to take urgent action to confront the threat posed by the Zionist regime's hegemony and aggression.
