After days of teasers and speculation, Chinese smartphone-maker iQOO has officially confirmed the launch date of its next flagship, the iQOO 15, in India. The upcoming device will be among the first smartphones in the country to feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Alongside its powerful performance, users can also expect major upgrades in the camera system, design and display. Here’s a closer look at what to expect from iQOO’s latest flagship. iQOO 15 Design And Colours From the teasers shared by iQOO, the iQOO 15 retains the signature square-shaped camera layout, but this time, the design looks sleeker and more refined. The RGB light ring around the camera module adds a stylish flair, while the metallic finish on the back panel gives it a more premium touch. The phone’s build seems to feature a flat front display with slightly curved edges for better grip. In China, the device comes in four colour variants- Legendary Edition, Wilderness, Track Edition and Lingyun and it’s highly likely that all four will make their way to the Indian market too. iQOO 15 Specifications The iQOO 15 is expected to offer specifications similar to the Chinese version launched recently. It has a 6.86-inch M14 LTPO AMOLED display with a 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate and the handset is likely to house a massive 7000 mAh battery with 100W wired and 40W wireless fast charging. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage and the phone runs on OriginOS 6. For photography, the iQOO 15 houses a triple rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel main lens with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens supporting 3x optical zoom. On the front, it comes with a 32-megapixel selfie camera for selfies and video calls. The device is expected to be priced around Rs 59,999, making it slightly costlier than its predecessor, the iQOO 13.
