A one-day event designed to connect entrepreneurs, small business owners and community leaders to resources and networking opportunities is scheduled Thursday in Fort Smith. The agenda for the Invest Fort Smith summit includes information about resources for small business owners, an overview of ChatGPT and panels on business opportunities and reinvesting in downtown Fort Smith. The sessions and panels will include Fort Smith city leaders, business owners, nonprofit members and more. Invest Fort Smith is a partnership between Main Street Fort Smith, PRIME: River Valley Professional Summit and the University of Arkansas Fort Smith Center for Economic Development. The summit starts at 9:30 a.m. at The Bakery District, 70 S. Seventh St. in Fort Smith and runs until 5 p.m. Main Street is a nonprofit group designed to create vibrant spaces in downtown Fort Smith through business development, arts and culture, special events and more, according to its website. Invest Fort Smith is a free event, but registration is required at the Main Street Fort Smith website.
