Interio by Godrej, a leading furniture brand from the Godrej Enterprises Group, has bagged orders to execute projects worth over ₹90 crore in Kochi in the infrastructure development. The portfolio includes a ₹69 crore electrical & mechanical work order from Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) for Phase 2 of Kochi Metro, and the successful completion of a ₹24 crore design-and-build project for Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Limited (KSITIL) at Infopark situated in Kochi. The company said in a release that the new order from KMRL marks Interio’s first-ever Electrical and Mechanical (E&MVAC) project, showcasing its growing expertise in integrated turnkey execution. The general scope of work included Electrical, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (VAC), and Fire Protection systems for 10 elevated metro stations, Property Development (PD) areas, and the associated viaduct between JLN Stadium (excluding) and Infopark Station. Swapneel Nagarkar, Senior Vice President & Business Head, Interio by Godrej, said, “Our turnkey solutions spanning design, engineering, and execution demonstrate our ability to deliver multi-disciplinary, large-scale projects that combine design excellence with engineering precision. These partnerships in Kerala reaffirm our role in shaping India’s infrastructure story through innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability.” Interio completed India’s first neurodiverse-friendly workspace for KSITIL at Infopark, Kochi. The project involved over 50,000 sq. ft. of office interiors and 65,000 sq. ft. of façade works is part of the Property Development area of Ernakulam South Metro Station. Besides, KMRL has also declared Interio by Godrej as the lowest bidder for the Architectural Finishing Contract of Kochi Metro Phase 2, which includes block work, plumbing, and interior finishing across five elevated stations—Palarivattom Junction, Alinchuvadu, Chembumukku, Vazhakkala and Padamughal. KSITIL at Infopark project was located above a live metro station and adjacent to the railway corridor and it was executed with zero incidents, maintaining strict safety standards 24/7.
