Global Afropop trailblazer Mr Eazi is embracing his beginnings with the release of “Maison Rouge,” a seven-track EP that doubles as both a homecoming and a love letter to his earliest supporters. The seven-track body of work takes its name from the Cotonou home where the singer crafted much of the project. Designed to rekindle memories of his early artistry, Maison Rouge reimagines the intimacy of Mr Eazi’s foundational hits such as “Skin Tight” and “Bankulize” through modern production and melodic storytelling. Each track builds on the relaxed, soulful tones that have long defined his sound. “Violence,” produced by P.Priime and E.Kelly, opens the project with a smooth groove, while “Make E No Tey” follows with a rhythm full of sunlight and optimism. “Busstop” infuses Ghanaian hiplife energy into an irresistible Afrofusion sound designed for parties and playlists. Other songs such as “Casanova,” “Corny,” and “Love Me Now” deepen the project’s texture—combining tenderness, rhythm, and vulnerability in ways that showcase Mr. Eazi’s versatility.
