Innovative Artists Entertainment on Tuesday morning announced its signing of NBA Hall of Famer Dwight Howard.
Howard is an NBA champion, Olympic gold medalist, eight-time NBA All-Star, eight-time All-NBA Team honoree, five-time All-Defensive Team member, and three-time Defensive Player of the Year. He spent nearly two decades in the NBA, playing for the Los Angeles Lakers on three separate occasions, as well as teams including the Orlando Magic, Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards, and Philadelphia 76ers.
Following the conclusion of the NBA’s 2021-22 season, Howard spent a season playing in Taiwan’s T1 League as part of the Taoyuan Leopards. He was named to the Basketball Hall of Fame this year.
In television, Howard’s credits include Black-ish for ABC, Never Have I Ever for Netflix, and The Odd Couple for CBS. Seen in the films The Equalizer 2 and Just Wright, he also competed on the 33rd season of Dancing with the Stars and on the sixth season of The Masked Singer, as Octopus. He also took part in Fox’s competition series Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test in 2023.
Currently, Howard hosts the podcast Above The Rim with D12, where he leads candid conversations across sports, culture, and lifestyle. He’s also developing a documentary with Hearst that offers an intimate look at his career and evolution and continues to be managed by The Gym Agency, whose Mujaahid “Mu” Abdul-Baasit collaborates with him across a diverse portfolio of ventures, including their Out of the Box production and media company.
