Every condo at this former CNY school comes with a $200K state subsidy: New condos at the former St. Matthew’s School in East Syracuse are selling for $136,433 to $164,688 — about $200,000 below market rate. The 21 units (studio, one- and two-bedroom) are the first to use New York’s Affordable Homeownership Opportunity Program, which subsidizes housing for first-time buyers meeting income requirements. Buyers must earn below 80% of the area’s median income and agree to sell only to similar income-level buyers for the next 30 years.

Editorial: Silencing Jimmy Kimmel is government censorship. Period: Our Constitution’s First Amendment provides that the government may not abridge “the freedom of speech, or of the press.” That constitutional right is only as good as the people who practice under its shield and the government that either respects it or wants to tear it down. Spineless TV executives have again cowered in the face of criticism, and the federal government is actively working to tear it down. Free speech in America is in peril.
